Check your sensor cable and check your brushed/brushless setting with your CastleLink.

I have two of the same combos sitting in my garage. Nothing but issues. From cogging to the same on/off/on issues. We usually get good results with using the castle link to reset all the settings and start over - but it doesn't last long.
I will be trading the MMP for a tekkin esc soon.

Reset all the settings to stock then check that you have the right brushless setting. You can also retard the timing on the motor itself.

I was thinking is it only the 13.5 motors doing this or what?

Double and triple check that the power wires to the motor is correct. A to A, B to B, C to C. I have done mine twice now and bother times mixed the wires up, the last time I had both motors mixed.

I haven't verified but talking to guys I trust and watching videos - its the mmp. For some reason it can't deal with the tekkin motors.

Man seems like people have good luck with the mmp/pro4 combo.Once i get the castle link I may toy with some brushed motors.

Check the Lipo cutoff on the ESC also, sounds like it could very well be on.

This is really odd from my own experience. I have the 13.5 and MMP in my Wringo and it works great. I was getting cogging the other day and I was so frustrated and just about to order a brushed motor until I checked the sensor wire and it had become disconnected from the mmp. Plugged it back in and back to normal.

What kind of rig are you running? Wraith, scx10????

x2 on resetting the motor mechanical timing. The 13.5 is set from the factory at 12*, you can usually turn it down to about 2-4* (for some reason it won't let you go to zero). Mine is set at 2*.

When you get castle link, make sure your MMP is set to low start power and you don't have any esc timing advance. x2 on checking your setting for brushless vs. brushless sensored. If the cable is disconnected or the esc is set for just brushless, it will cog a lot at low speeds. This setting should allow you to have good low speed control. The top end will be lacking. From here you can change the settings for timing on the motor or esc to suit your needs. I run the C.H.E.A.T. setting at 22* advanced timing when RPM is over 14000.

Last thing you should consider is the battery. I've only ever run lipo (2S and 3S) with this setup and never had an issue (other than the sensor wire mentioned above). I've read in other forums that Nimh and lower voltages will cause issues with this combo. Even some lipo batts with low discharge C ratings can cause issues.

Don't give up on the 13.5, it really does well for rock racing. The pro4 is pretty BA but it's $60+ more than the redline, and when I was shopping around, nobody really had them in stock.

Hope this helps

I had some trouble with my setup at first as well. MMP and a tekin pro4. I took a flathead screwdriver and shoved the sensor wire into the esc as far as it would go and all of the sudden it works perfect. At first I thought it was in all the way but it would come out very easy. Once I did the screwdriver deal to it you really have got to want it to remove the sensor wire. Are you running an external bec? I put one on mine just because everything gets one at my place. Nothing but good times now except for drivetrain parts.

Check the firmware on the ESC. In the past I have had really strange issues with some of the newest firmware on my MMP's. Rolled them back to the oldest and all my issues went away. And I second the sensor wire. They never quite seem to lock in, it just seems to sit there and want to pop out. I use a zip tie around my ESC to hold the sensor wire in. No more issues after that. I have also read that the sensor wires on some of the tekin motors is not soft enough and tends to pop out. Some people have been replacing them with more flexible units.

Well the LHS didn't have the castle link,But i did get it to run after i done the flathead screw driver trick to the sensor cable.
I just don't have reverse, once I get the link I'll play with the settings some more.

Mine won't even stay running. I will be crawling up something and it looses all power and rolls backward. No drag no response from the remote. It doesn't turn off is what's the strange thing.
