Default Hitec Servo Question

The steering servo on my wraith has some side to side movement in the shaft,so i decided to replace it with a new one.I picked up a Hitec HS-5665MH digital servo at my Lhs and i noticed on the instructions it says do not use bec system built in most 2 ch.receivers make sure you bypass the bec for stable operation.Well i thought i would try anyway to see if it would work, well it seems to work fine. What could happen if the bec in the receiver is not bypassed?By the way i'm using all of the stock electronics except for the steering servo.

Your RX shouldn't have a bec... Your ESC might. Its common practice to use a more capable BEC then the one included in most ESC's. I would assume this is what they mean.

That servo only draws 3 amps at stall, so it should be fine, but adding a castle BEC will never hurt.

Some receivers do have a built in bec that merely reduces the rx pack voltage down to usually 6v and that's what it meant by not using the rx bec
