Default CS-170 Feels Weak

So today I noticed the Hobbico CS-170 (Re-branded Hi-Tec 7955TG) is feeling weak. It is having trouble turning the wheels with the slightest of binds. When the Wraith is moving it feels fine, but even just sitting on pavement at a stop it struggles to turn them full lock. I thought with the ti gears this servo would last a little while but I've only been running it for maybe 2 months. When it does stall out I don't hear any grinding or slipping of gears. I guess the motor in the servo could just be burned up.

Are you running an external BEC on the servo?
If you are, is it direct to the servo or through the RX?

What is your voltage set at on your bec? I run 3 cs-170's, 2 of them are set at 6.8v and the one on my moa comp rig is at 7.0v. Never have a problem turning my 2.2's but if I get binded up pretty good it'll stall a little.

bec set to 6.5V Everything worked fine up until today. Should I pull the power from the rx and run power from the BEC directly to the sevo?

Well I figured out why it was weak. I plugged it back into castle link after I made a rx bypass harness this evening and it said something about firmware being corrupt and the voltage box was greyed out and set at 5.1V. Updated the firmware and the select box became active again and upped the voltage back to 6.6V. It works again!!! Now why would the firmware be corrupt ad loose my voltage setting?

That is a new one for me. Glad you found it, thanks for the follow-up.
