SWB makes gooooood servo horns. I use them on my sporty and 1.9 with good results.

Oops I guess they got rid of them, I just bought some a month ago and have been using them for years... Always had good luck with their clamping ones too. |

Just curiously, why not clamping? I run Robitronics horns in all my crawlers and have never had an issue with them. |

| Re: Long NON clamping servo horn +1.....unless it's a low torque servo (~200inoz or less) why NOT use a clamping servo arm?? The GHracing (Golden Horizons racing) arm is less than $10, why mess with potentially crap???!!! Robitronics is the next/best step up the list. Sheesh, I thought I was a cheap ass. |

The aluminum horn was too short for my needs (as well as anyone I've talked to). Thus my quest for a decent replacement horn. I've tried quite a few, the GHracing claamping aluminum horns have held to my abuse, I've read numerous great reviews on the Robitronics arms. Thus my post. I will follow your post as I obviously missed a HiTec option.

have you looked into Air Wild Hobbies. the Air Wild horns are designed for large airplanes. the spline starts at the back of the arm instead of the arm sticking out the front of the spline. it puts the arm closer to the front of the servo. sorry can't explain it any other way. these also have a ridge down the back for strength. i buy 1/4 inch longer and drill the spot for the length i need, then shorten. it moves the end of the ridge closer to the hole.

I think the horns that come with a lcc are the same length as the robotronics?

| Re: Long NON clamping servo horn Yep, sick of going through the clamping style on my super. One serious roll and they are done for. I have a theory that the splits in the clamping type allow for flex, I am just trying to see if it could help to have a non locking type. Quote:
No, quite a bit shorter.

| Re: Long NON clamping servo horn We must have two different robitronics arm, because i compared after i posted, and its not much longer, .05" maybe (from center to center of the mounting hole and farthest out hole) I've had much longer clamping horns than my robotronics, so maybe there is a short and long version. |
