I need to know if this receiver has a slot for different frequency crystals(do most of them? im a noob!) Ive got a transmitter with the slot to change the frequency crystals and I need to know if itll work or if its just for flysky transmitters.

That is a 2.4ghz receiver, it doesn't use crystals.

You're thinking of the older AM or FM radios that had matching crystals in the TX & RX.

No, you can't use that RX with an AM or FM radio. What radio do you have? do you need a new/additional RX?

well I want to use my TX that came with my ecx smash , it uses 27mhz AM with crystals(going brushless, need new 2+channel RX). I have a 2.4ghz system I use with my ax10.

so if i get this 2.4 RX, could I use it with the TX from my ax10? its a 'duratrax' - looks kinda cheap.

and since the 2.4ghz systems dont use crystals? how do you sync them up?

Just being 2.4ghz is not enough. It's tough to cross brands (a FlySky RX with a Duratrax TX) and does not always work within brands (a Futaba 3PM-x RX won't work with a Futaba 4PL TX even though they're both Futaba & 2.4ghz).

You can likely find another RX for the Duratrax TX. There is a binding process, but it's usually easy.
