Novak M2 Dig 3S Dual Brush ESC opinions?

Im building a Dingo. Thinking about going with a dual motor set up. Just wondering if any one has used the Novak M2 Dig 3S Dual Brush ESC?
Any opinions or reviews?

Do a search. Plenty of discussions on the M2 ESCs.

I have the m2, and hated it the minute I installed it.

It will be thrown out once my fxr's arrive.

But definately do a search and listen to what people say

It sucks. It's also for dual motor MOA's, not shafty's.

There is really no reason for dual motors in a SCX, a single good motor fed proper power will explode any part you want.

Get a waterproof BR-XL, a decent rebuildable motor and have fun.

Apparently I am the only guy who has run one with NO PROBLEMS, oh and 2 of my buddies. I thought it was great for non-proportional digging. I am installing dual esc's this weekend though, just for size control and propo functionality.

Don't get me wrong, the m2 does work... But I feel Novak promise a lot more than what they delivered.

I've had no issues with mine apart from the switch breaking off at the board.

It all depends on what you plan to run. I run a 35t tekin and fxr in my dingo and it pulls great. Geared quite high but heaps of pull.

I have a guy in our club that likes it as well.

If I had never used dual FX-r's or dual CC ESC's, I would probably like the M2.

Since I've used a CC with a servo dig as well as various dual ESC set-ups (currently dual Sidewinder Micros & dual FX-R's), I don't like the M2.
It's a great idea, but seems to need a lot more "fiddling" to get decent results.
Add in the conflicting reports of "use the HotWire/don't use the HotWire", I sold my M2 off.

I typically run 3S LiPO and 35T good motors (Holmes & Br00d).

For a single motor rig, I would find something else for an ESC. Look for "instant reverse" & "drag brake", plus a voltage input that will work with your batteries. If running LiPO, it's nice to have a built in LVC.

For scalers that may get wet, the waterproofed Holmes BR-XL is a great unit.8)
