faster in reverse than forward

I just installed a traxxas xl5 esc in my scx10 and it seems to faster in reverse than forward. Is this something that can be changed?

if it matters, i'm using a spektrum dx3.0 tx/rx

Try re calibrating the radio with the ESC.

what motor are you running? some have advanced timing to run faster one way.

First, check the motor wires are connected the right way, then recalibrate the ESC radio. You may find you have to reverse the throttle direction to get it going in the right direction, if so then recalibrate again after you've flicked the switch.

Also, check the end point adjustments on your radio if it has them, you may find one has been turned down more than the other.

ill try the calibrating. Right now i've got the stock axial 27t in it, but I also have a 55t integy for it

Then make sure you invert your throttle "thumbsup"

Did you make sure your transmitter was set to zero on both the forward and rev. for the throttle channel? I have mine set to be 100% for the forward operation but only 40%(limiting the rev. speeds) in Reverese. then trouble shoot with motor wires etc.
Just where I would start.

Re: faster in reverse than forward

Im having the same problem. Stock Axial SCX10 with 1.9, homemade wheel weights, traxxas xl5 esc and 35t RC4WD motor with 2s lipo. Mine seems to go faster in Reverse than forward. The Esc has been calibrated with sport mode. And ive run out of ideas of what it could be. ALso using the stock axial remote and receiver. ALso when I was taking out the receiver out of the box the bottom broke off with it. I know being a newbie yes you can say DUMBA$$. Would that have anything to do with that cutting in and out?? I also noticed Hesitation as well.

I agree. you guys have your motor wired backwards. switch that and reverse the radio
