Default hpi crawler king motor and esc hot after gear reduction unit installed????!!!

pretty new to this forum but i just got a hpi ck and installed the gru in it this morning. i worked for maybe 5 minutes and stopped. the motor is hot as well as the esc. has all the stock hpi parts and the hpi 55t crawler motor. any advice or suggestions would be great!

Hi, the same happens to me with my converted Wheely King. After installing the reduction gear from the crawler upgrade, the motor, esc, and reduction gear gets too hot in my opinion. It also sounds as it is having extreme friction inside. The manual didn't specify whether or not to put grease in it, as it did specify it with other parts, so I didn't use it.

Anybody knows if this is ok?
