| RC4WD Bulldog 9300 Problem? HELP! so ive had my bulldog for about a yr now and i love it, but my recent rig has been my heaviest at just over 9lbs so ive noticed after use of my winch a couple times but not a full spool maybe 2ft-3ft it comes loose from the base that holds it, then gets some play forward and backwards i can wiggle it, anyone else have this issue? i dont wanna ruin my mounting stubs on the winch by pulling out the screws what can i do? any suggestions? ive tried the serchy button but i came up with nothing but vague results and when i get specific i get zero! |

So did the winch actually pull free from the base and now the holes are loose? Sounds like you might have stripped the threads

I would say loctite it and let it cure overnite. If it still comes loose, email customer service. There might be housings available but Im not sure for certain.

It sounds like the threads stripped out. You could try loc-tite 638 it's a bit thicker then the norm and has a better holding force. You have to figure after a year of use it doesn't sound like a quality issue, the strain on the screws holding it to the base has to be pretty high under load and are just getting worn out. Good luck with it --Dan Last edited by sickcivic95; 11-09-2012 at 09:49 PM. |

I don't use my winch much, maybe 8x since I've owned it thats why I would say quality is in question but I have no idea what this could be should I use different hardware? Has anyone had this same issue?? Sent From Outerspace Using my HTC-Freeze Ray Gun |
