I need electronics for my berg and I was thinking that I'd go with 2 cc micro sidewinder's, a cc 10amp BEC, a hitec 7980, some holmes hobbies torque master motors and a futaba 4PL. What do you guys think? Any thing you would change out? I'm trying to go budget but still have decent electronics.

I'm running similar on my XR-10....dual Sidewinder Micros on 3S, 10A CC BEC, HiTec 7950, HH 35T motors. I did the 7950 since it's a standard sized servo, the 7980 is a little larger. Your list is fine, it will work with the 4PL. |

I wouldn't run a Hitec servo, but the list is good.

They grow weaker overtime. Sure it might be strong day one, but they slowly lose strength and speed. They are fine for most, just not something I'd use. |

Well, if you wouldn't use it what would you use? I'm open to suggestions. I might not go with those suggestions, but I'll still listen.

Have you considered a hacked flysky radio? As for hitec...i'm not sure if i'll buy another, I've burnt up quite afew 7955's and the gears in the 7954 i had decided to let go in the middle of a comp. The savox brushless monster torque i have wigs out with my sensored 13.5t tekin, so i probably won't run a savox as a steering servo...my dig servo though is a savox micro and its awesome. I'm considering a brushless futaba servo for my next steering servo |

A futaba servo, that was my other option. I want the 4pl because I'm probably going to run it in my scaler, super, and a couple other rigs.

I don't know, it just sounded good. I'll pobably get a hacked gt-3b for my scaler once I get a winch and my lights hookedup. |
