Because every Novak product I have owned ended up smoking. And once they did, Novak customer service and warranty was non existent. Plus most of their stuff is locked in the 90's. Most do not support 3s or 4s batteries or offer the adjustments of castle and tekin.

The last product of theirs I owned melted....and killed the rest of the electronics in the RC. I threw that junk in the trash right then and have never owned one of their products since.

I have had a Rooster and a brand new Goat 3S go up in smoke on me. In my opinion the CS sucks ass big time. I won't buy anything Novak anymore.

Get with Losikid and get your GT3B hacked. You'll be capable of up to 8 channels then. You can then run dual ESC's. Otherwise you will need a Punk Dig with a single ESC.

I agree on getting with Losi kid. He is great to work with and will definitely get you setup. More importantly you will be able to truly unlock the pential of the moa setup.

You don't need to get a punk product.
I make dig controllers for those that want to run a single ESC:

MOA Dig Controller for Three Position Channel

MOA Dig Controller for Two Position Channel

I got the goat 2 cell in my scaler with the 18.5 brushless sensored system, I run a freakin stick pack because I am pretty sure since the system is stuck in the 90's I think the packs should be from then too but then I got the new 3 cell crawling system and the drag break on my drifter held better than that system so I traded the system for a complete ax10 with an fxr

I ran an M2 dig for a while in my XR-10.

Did the ESC work? Yes
Did it work as well as Tekin or Castle ESC's? Nope
-Poor drag brake
-Lack of adjust-ability (some adjust throttle via Expo in the TX)
-Fussy programming (conflicting info on whether or not you can use the NovakLink without blowing up the ESC)
-Costs about the same as 2 GOOD ESC's.

For you and the GT3B, I would say, get:

2-ESC's (Tekin FX-R, Castle Micro Sidewinder, etc.)
WantAmix (from LosiKid to run dual ESC's off your radio)
OR
Hack the GT3B and skip the WantAmix

I have done both routes and the hacked GT3B is what I prefer.

I never tried HeyOK's offerings, but he seems to do a decent business and supports his stuff on this forum.

LosiKid also does good support here, part of why I use a bunch of OverkillRC stuff.

PS, I own all Novak ESC's in my dirt & carpet cars and am very happy, they just seem to be lacking in crawlers. The M2 is a nice idea with poor execution.

ok guys thanks for the help, i think that i might get one esc and then the punk dig and run my moa crawler that way for a while at least till i get it all tuned and the suspension working good. then i might upgrade my gt3b and put another esc on the crawler. do the wantasummit punk dig units work good?

the stock gt3b is 2 position 3rd channel AND will NOT work with a punk dig...AND it will NOT work with a M2...AND it will NOT work with a wantamix

You can probably get it to work with a HeyOK 2 position dig switch, but i'm not sure

If you don't want to hack your radio, dig might be possible, but your better off running one esc, and wiring your motors in parallel and suffer with clod stall till you hack your radio and get dual esc's.. DO NOT PLAN ON getting it tuned and suspension working good, BECAUSE, dual esc's will CHANGE how your car reacts by 100%

Don't mislead for your own benefit now. The GT3B will work with a Punk, you just won't have all 3 dig options available. I ran one with a 2 position switch and front dig only and it was all I needed to first start out.
