Default Deans Plugs

Where is the best place to pick them up from?

LHS has quite a bit of mark up on them, so i was just curious on where RCC chose to get theirs.

Especially just looking to save money when i have to re do, 10 batteries lol

Bulk on ebay.
Watch out though, if the price is to good to be true, they are either salvaged or off brand.
I could live with salvaged, but not the off brands.

Salvaged? Deans plugs that have a salvaged title?

I personally like the hobby king ones since they are the same quality and have little ribs on the side

The originals fit the best and tend to resist solder burn/loose problems the best. That said you can buy the deans in bulk packs from any LHS or online retailer.

Will the hobbyking plugs work with a deans plug? Or would I need to replace all of them to be the same?

I got some off Amazon.com for reasonable $$.
Bought some wired Males, some wired Females and a handful of generic connectors, another pack1, another pack2.

yes they are identical aside from the ribbing. I have mixed sets throughout my rc collection and they work perfect

I just picked up the ones from hobbyking quality seems good and for less than $4 for 10 pairs I figured what the hell, not much to loose if they were crap, they work with deans and like posted earlier they are a nice tight fit.

Go with the hobby kings. Nice grips on them and can't get them for cheap in bulk on eBay!

Have had mixed results with the hobbyking ones... Once they are in place they seem to be fine, but the plastic seems to be of much poorer quality. Have melted at least 3-4 while soldering them, never had that problem with geniune Deans.

From my experience soldering connectors I will probably stick to deans for the batt's with heavy gauge wire, and use the HK ones on the batt's with small gauge wire. It always takes me more time to get the heavy gauge wire to solder properly to the terminal, so it will probably melt the HK's.
