I give a thumbsdown to the flysky programmers, from what i've play'd with it. Good luck finding away to run dual esc's with it, and still have dig and bias mixing, lmk if you figure it out...i tried for a hour or so when i first got it, its been sitting on the shelf waiting for me to get some more free time.

In theory, Firmware updates should fix any issue. No? I also like the hard, unbreakable antenna, the blue power on led and the no-activity warning "beep". lol, I feel like having a 4WS to test the hell out of it now! I guess I have a new project Last edited by EncoreuneMod!; 12-29-2012 at 03:07 AM. |

Yes in theory...but flysky never fixed the firmware bugs in the gt3b/c, history tends to repeat itself. And the iT4 has a flysky branded chip, and flysky won't give me any information regrading writing a new firmware for it...so its gonna be really hard to hack it. Now if flysky does offer a firmware upgrade, then, not sure if i can do it, but then everything can be reversed engineered software wise to write a new firmware for it. But i still don't think they'll offer a firmware upgrade. |

SW1, will give you front dig, what about rear?...i think you'd have to mix ch 2 to ch3 and ch2 to ch4...use a sw to turn mix on and off to the front or rear to get dig TR4, 1% clicks isn't very help full to actively and quickley adjust the mix...and to go with the above, need to use two trims, one to turn down the front axle, and one for the rear. Then click and hold to get to a decent mix spot. I'm not saying, it can't operate dual esc's, it can but very limited And, i couldn't figure out how todo a 3 position switch with it, for a normal dig controller/tranny, so your stuck with dual esc....can;t use a winch either |

Yea agreed the digital trim is annoying. I would have loved to see a wheel instead of buttons! Same with the number of buttons required to operate Dual ESC Anyway, for now, it's still a step up from my GT3B's. And a significant saving compare to other 4ch remotes on the market. And hey, it also has telemetry integrated Let's just hope we will be able to uprev the firmware. At least the option is already included in the menu... |

I tested the telemetry modules & they works great. You can select what to display on the front screen (up to 4 live data) FS-STM01 Tempreture telemetry sensor - My favorite! Especially that you can add several (i.e. Live temp of ESC + Motor, finally!) - Display in Celsius FS-SPD01 magnetic telmetry sensor - Can monitor speed. Without a Max recording, it's pretty useless. - Odometer option can be cool, but a gadget. - Setup with magnet annoying... FS-SVT01 External voltage telemetry sensor - Works good. Live battery voltage via a connection on our lipo balance plug FS-SEV01 data processing unit - Can duplicate channel output - Programmable. Assign whatever channel to one of the 4 output. - lol, useless. What I would use this for? Maybe as a hub for lights... So, I will clearly use the temperatures (x2) and probably the voltage monitor on some of my RC's. Anybody found a source for extra sensors and receivers? |

Was wondering about response time too, and found this Q&A with Flysky from a guy of another forum ( R/C Tech Forums - View Single Post - Flysky FS-iT4 radio ): 1) Is the AFHDS2 compatible with AFHDS? Will the iT4 work with older Flysky receivers? - FS-iT4 used new system can't compatible with old one. 2) What is the framerate of iT4 - standard 20 ms or faster? - The frame rate is 5ms (200Hz). 3) Will the telemetry sensors be sold separatelly? - Yes. 4) Can the iT4 be connected to PC computer to store the settings, model memories, etc.? - No, it can't. 5) Is it an Android based system? - No. I'm also wondering about steering resolution, not dramatic for crawling, but good resolution is also a must have for racing GT3B/C are supposed to have poor resolution so what about this one? | |

So I ended up testing it for real in my XR-10. The good thing; my wood bashing rig is back up and running... and it now has telemetry. Look at those cool telemetry modules. Since they are in series, you can place them in various places, not necessarily right next to the Rx. Speed/Odometer : Temperature : Voltage : The bad thing, is that I am not using proportional adjustment on my MOA I cannot believe it, but even with all it's cool features, I could not get this remote to do what I wanted. I am with losiKid, Firmware 1.0-CN is a miss. The guy that defined the features at Flysky probably don't play with RC's with his free time. I ended up using my FS-iT4 with only front/rear dig via ; SW1 = Mix 3 SW2 = Tog. channel 4 Mixes - Mix3 with Master as CH4 and Slave as CH3 So one button Activate/Desactivate Dig and the other selects between front or rear Dig. What a shame in a way, the Hardware and Software design allowed more but the potential is not fully exploited in this first release. But hey I keep the fait, time will probably bring a fix either by : - one of you that will find a way to configure the options more effectively (please post the solution if you find it) - via FlySky firmware updates (the option is there in the menu...) - a wise kid will find a way to hack it A marketing option for FlySky to consider; they should simply make their code open source!!! The community can make something awesome out of this platform and they would therefore sell a lot more units... and it would save the salary of one programmer. In conclusion, at the end of this first testing phase, I am still happy with my purchase. It is not as good as the best 500+$ 4 CH remotes on the market. But hey I still feel that I saved money as it's better then the other 3 CH remotes out there. Meanwhile, I will order or a couple more RX's and telemetry modules to install in some of my other RC's. |

Well mine will be here tomorrow I already ordered it before I found this thread so will see if it does what I want it to do. If not I can use it for another build.

I just got mine i was going to get a spectrum DX4 but at a third of the price it works great so far. The receivers were out of stock so i only have the one that i came with, I put it in my HPI sport 2 flux and WOW it is so responsive it blows away the HPI TX its a bit quicker then my Traxxas TQi, but way easier the setup. Tried it out in my trail rig it is so nice to have subtrim for all channels not just channel 1. I could setup but dig servo and not have it over-through and over heat (and quit working). I no not use the dig feature I use it to disconnect my front drive shaft to be more scale.
