| Flysky FS-iT4 Edit: I don't recommend this radio and I don't plan on trying to write a new firmware for it. I'm surprised no-one has posted this up, i've waited all the way up till now when they are actually shipping. Flysky just released the iT4 2.4GHz枪型遥控系统 > 2.4GHz枪型遥控系统_FLYSKY RC Model Technology co., ltd. BUT, don't get too anxious, because as of right now, i know nothing about the internals of it and i know i'm no where near good enough at programming to write up a new firmware for it...if possible. It seems these will be going for $150-200 in china, i can come close to these prices as the chinese have a pretty good mark up on them compared to the 3b/3c. BUT, stock radio only. LMK if you're interested. LMK how interested you'd be to see this hacked... Last edited by losikid; 04-09-2016 at 07:19 PM. |

So, looked up the FCC website, and they just submitted documentation, and here's the manual. Looks like they have a predefined 4ws mix AND a custom mixing menu. All sorts of other neat stuff....it was seperated into two parts due to the size http://www.overkillrc.com/iT4/First%20Look/FS-iT4-1.pdf http://www.overkillrc.com/iT4/First%20Look/FS-iT4-2.pdf I should have a final copy from flysky here soon |

I wanna know the response time in milliseconds. The AFHDS in the older models was good enough for crawling but absolutely horrendously laggy on a race track. I hope this "2" they put after the AFHDS this time means its much faster. Is it backward compatible? Yay, telemetry! WTF didn't they just make an Android phone plug in to it.... I like the new TQi with the Iphone dock, this could have been much better though. |

I'm not sure what it is, but its probably still 20ms. HOWEVER, you can install a frsky module into the 3b/c and get a 9ms latency I like a built in screen better... it doesn't force you to own a certain type of phone

looks cool. hopefully the person trying to operate it is just blind and not pushing the screen in the right place. he sure had a lot of trouble with having to double tap screen to get it to respond?? wonder what cell phone screen they used for this radio? LOL |

the link that LK posted shows a stylus "pen" so maybe that will be more precise. This looks really cool, can't wait to hear more about it.

yep, i had this idea, just not the know how to do it, looks android based (thank god). the idea i had was to build a kit that would mod an un used smart phone to an old FM radio, but this works too. We will have to keep an eye on this. Being android based the possibilities are endless, with jellybean we have full USB support (think adding functions through Arduino expansion boards) and the custom Rom support is through the roof. A smart controller is the next logical step and it will be worth the money. the delay maybe to much right now, but with better programming it will only better, the screen looks to be capacitive touch (good) and i think the double tap was the guy just not pressing hard enough.

Very intrigued by this. Hope there is a cover for the screen. Would be afraid of dropping it on the rocks. Would be very interested if it could be hacked for more than 4 channels.

Cool! I'm actually interested. The more techy the better. Fly sky's website doesn't really have much info. I'd like to hear more when someone gets one and starts playing with it. |

With Gorilla Glass this is not as much of a concern as it was just a year ago. How tough is Corning Gorilla Glass 2? Corning puts it to the test. - YouTube

I agree with Losikid, I don't have a smartphone or iAnything so having an integrated screen is much better. Plus when using a 3rd party device there's more risk of s/w incompatibility issues. I went through the manuals and it's unclear what programming options there are to manually control channels 3 and 4. 2, 3 or multi position, latching or momemtary? There's something in the second manual at the top of p. 12, bu again unclear. And there's no mention of being able to backup your model memory to PC? I have over a dozen programmed into my 4PL (two for most of my cars, one for me and one for my son limiting speed ), and if I ever loose them I'll be quite upset |

If you want a stock one, send me an email, losikid@overkillrc.com I'm confident i can get you the best price on the web. It'll be about a year before i'll be able to write a bada$$ firmware for it... |
