Default how do you wire in a fan?

I was wondering how you wire up fans for the esc and motor. I want to add some to my rig for extra peace of mind while I'm running through sand. I've only got a 2 channel receiver, and I've heard some people say you just plug the fan into an open slot. The only open slot on my spektrum receiver is the bind port. Would that work?

You could plug a fan into a y harness. Another option would to wire it into the battery plugs on the esc side.

bind plug would work. but you'd be better off powering it off the main battery pack. less draw on the esc's internal bec and the fan will run faster
