Default hump pack disassemebly ?

I have a hardly used hpi hump pack (this one HPI - 2018 Hump Battery Pack/Rx 6V 3000mAh NiMH - Active Powersports ) that i would like to use for at home testing but i want/need to reconfigure the cells so that it is flat and will lay in my battery tray.
Ive searched google and here and now know how much coffee peru exports, where Obama was really born, the date the mayan calendar began, and how to make my own lipos..... but not how to disassemble nimh batteries without damaging them beyond repair.

NiMH packs are pretty easy to take apart and reconfigure.

They use battery bars like these:
Deans Pro Bar 3.0 High Performance Battery Bars (6 Bars) [WSD1610] | Batteries - A Main Hobbies

that are soldered to each side of the cell....then they have two leads coming off of two of the cells.

Just cut off the shrink wrap and unsolder all of the bars and leads and you'll have a pile of cells. It is best to not heat the cells up a lot, but I've never had any issues with any of the packs I built over the years with soldering/unsoldering stuff to them.

If you have a decent soldering iron, it's likely just 2 connections to solder.

1-Carefully cut the shrink-wrap off.
2-Follow the wiring path from the pack cable to the pack. On the picture you had linked, it's likely the "+" is on one layer, the "-" is on the other layer.
3-Look at the connections between cells, they are likely welded on, not soldered. You are better served cutting the straps between the 2 levels compared to "pulling them off" since you may leave holes in the end of the cells.
4-Tin the end of the cells with solder as well as a short piece of wire.
5-Solder the wire to the cell ends to replace the original strap (after laying the 2 levels flat).

Not sure why you need to reconfigure the pack if it's just for testing, but, whatever.
