You mean you're having issues getting them calibrated?? Binding is usually the TX to the RX.

I usually calibrate dual ESC's at the same time.
Others find it works better if you only have one plugged into the RX at a time for calibration.

Do they both have the same firmware and settings? I use a CC Link and set the same firmware in each ESC, then do a "settings program" in one and then copy/load into the 2nd one.

Yes sorry it seems like it has calibrated but just goes glichy when u hit forward or reverse.
i have hooked it to the cc link and made sure they r the same.
Did what ur saying by do one and load to the other.

So it will work to calibrate them if there both plugged in? meaning u can calibrate both at same time.

hey Mike i would dig into Rays radio too and double check settings for epa's too in the 3rd channel. the settings in there are totally different then mine so it was confusing the heck out of me when i was trying to set them up.

Cam says if you have more issues and can't figure it to take the hole package out to him and he can get it going. I am sure its something real silly that we are missing.

Good luck bud.

Yes, you can calibrate 2 at once, I've done it a number of times.

Some people have had issues doing 2 ESC's at once, so they only have one plugged in at a time for calibration (use the RX port it will stay in).

Make sure the following is set:
Throttle trim to "0" (including sub trims if you have them)
Throttle EPA's to 100% (both sides)
Then calibrate

PS, your "glitchy issue" may just be a motor that needs service.

Ok made alittle progress last nite,
Got it to calibrate and both will go forward but only one goes in reverse
Tried to calibrate both together which got us to where it goes forward but no reverse and yes the settings are set to reverse LOL

Hmm maybe i'll try leaven it in the port that it will use we were useing the same port for both speed controls. plug one in calibrate then remove and plug other into same port and repeat.

As for the motor if i hook up the good speed control to either motor they both work fine.
I will look at the throttle trim setting tonite
Throttle EPA is at 100%
even tried 120%

Using the dx3c remote

Yeah, using one port for 2 ESC's is going to give odd results.
Front ESC in port-2, rear ESC in port-3 or 4 (depends on the radio I believe).

Is the ESC throttle (and whatever the 2nd port is) set to:
Trim to "0" (including subtrims)
EPA to 100% (both directions)

You posted while I was typing......

Epa is 100% both ways
Trim i think was at 0 but will check that.
Trottle is set to the proper port

Make sure you are not using the beta version of the firmware. Currently the newest version is a beta. Drop down one more to the non beta version.

I hate to suggest this as I know we all are good at setting this stuff up, but everytime I have issues like this, I wind up finding out one of my solder joints is close to failure, or not complete. You might double check those. Also depending on how you smashed the build, they might be just giving each other interferance. I usually put a small section of rubber bike tube between mine to reduce any chance of conductivity. On a final note you probably mentioned this but if you are running 4s this will give you fits in the newest firmware. Can't recall what battery you said you were running.

What firmware are you using? I just did my micro sidewinders today. Smashed them and put the 1.27 firmware i think. The newest that isnt beta. I bound my rx before they were programmed while they were hooked up, then programmed them both at the same time. All works good. Are you using a futabaa tx? The throttle has to be on rev on the radio for futabas. Page 14 i think of the castle instructions says so.

YA tried changing the firmware and that helped a bit.
Got two of the three to work now but one is still being funny.
It calibrates and will go in reverse but not forward it looks like it is telling it to go but it doesn't.

Did you somehow "reverse" the one ESC??

Like I've stated before, I set all my CC ESC's to a common (older) firmware, set a profile (brake type, drag brake, reverse type, throttle/brake curves, etc.), save it & then just load it into the other ESC's.

Makes it so even I have a hard time messing it up.
