Default savox 2270

just picked one up at my lhs, havnt opened it yet, did a quick searck on here, came up with its amp/power hungry......

saw losikids thread, now am really looking for a definate answer, is this thing junk, take it back......or decent keep it

what do i do i need a servo for my kids truck for christmas......is there another brand that has wicked high torque?

If you read the whole LosiKid's thread, you'll see that it's not as amp hungry as you're making on. I have several different models of Savox servos (not the 2270) in various vehicles and they work fine.

ya i read that, and saw it was only drawing 4.6 amps or something, its just that i paid $135 for this and if its prone to problems i cant afford to buy another...i also have savox in my rustler, and my ax10, both those seem fine, fast and strong....was really excited about getting this for my son, till i started searching on here.....

The 7955 may be fine for a scaler.

We've had some issues with the 7954's, I stay away from them now.

I never ran a Savox, so I can't really comment on them. I only know of Savox from this forum, like everything else, there are hot & cold comments about them.

well i think im going to see if they have a 7950 and trade this in.....i dont like the way it sounds.....i need it to be good, and not worry about it a month dn the road....its hard enough having 4 kids, and a built rig for each......:(.....lol

so ya they didnt have a 7950, but did have a 7954 sh so contrary to what was sugested i took it, but also am ordering a 7950, i just had to have a servo for tomorrow morning, nothing worse then a kid opening up his present and not being able to use it....so i will have a spare.....
