No...Try checking your Radio and it's settings. When it is buzzing Means it is running. So check out your radio and then Try it disconnected from the BEC.

i the servo hooked to the BEC,or is the bec hooked through the RX? if to the servo, it will have power whenever the battery is hooked up. so it can make some noise

My 7954 buzzes alittle bit. Especially if it doesn't completely go to center. I can wiggle the steering wheel and it will stop. You should always unplug the battery when not in use and not just cut the switch off. Run the bec to the rx in the battery plug. This way the rx is powered from the bec, but the lights will stay on as long as the battery is plugged in.

| Re: Bec Install This....if the BEC is direct from the battery to the servo, it WILL draw power regardless of whether the "power switch" is on or off.

There is another way that would have been easier, though not necessarily 'better'. CreationFab and Holmes Hobbies both sell receiver bypass adapters that connect the BEC straight to the servo, the red wire wouldn't get cut, as it would supply the power to the receiver. I got bored outta my gourd tonight and went downstairs and built one. I wouldn't so much call it better, because although turning off my ESC did kill power to my receiver, interrupting the signal to the servo, the BEC was still providing power directly to the servo, so I don't think your buzzing would have stopped. I think you're stuck with that buzz whichever way you wire up your BEC. Going to have to get into the habit of disconnecting that battery. |

On a digital servo, the buzz is normal with no input from the radio, it's the servo trying to find center which is why if you move the wheel some it may get quiet.
