| Info on Hitec New Servos - 8360, 8370, 8380
Today I saw that RPP had the new servos listed in the "New Items" section. I am in the market for a new servo and I am a Hitec fan. So this got me interested. In researching the servos I found that they are very similar if not exact specs as some of the 79xx series servos. For example, the 7945 and the 8370 have the same specs. So I sent an email to Hitec asking what was the difference and this is the response: "The new servos are essentially the same except for the board (I.C) which is the same as what JR and Futaba use. These are targeted towards Heli’s and Cars and will come with a 25 tooth (Futaba) spline and 3mm screw." I find it interesting that same IC board as Futaba and same spline... I can say, I would like to see a "servo spline standard". |

Rebadged servos? Sounds fishy.
