Default rc4wd 2.4 crawler radio

i just bought 4ws 2.4 radio for 79.99. had a hard time binding. finally got it to link together and it worked great, but then truck just took off and now it wont do anything. is this because of fail safe? im not running lipo. battery may be low but its deffinitly not dead. any ideas

I recently bought a used XR4 radio and didnt have any issues binding my first 3 rigs to it. The truck taking off on you sounds to be the exact opposite of the failsafe? and wether its a NICD or Lipo shouldnt matter. Can you recharge the battery and retest? Also were the RX batteries fresh when you tested?

While I would say the radio isnt a top shelf radio by anymeans it has treated me well to this point. Good luck!!

It should be fairly simple to bind it, just hold that button on the reicever and flip the truck on, then flip the radio on and you shoudl be good to go.

You would try and pull a motor wire off if you can, that will prevent any runaways, or put the truck up on a block or something.

I also have my bound to 4 rigs and have had no issues with it.

I agree the radio might not have all the features, but I have had no problems with mine thus far.

I have manual but the and direction seem straight forward I think something might be wrong. I can't get it to bind since it took off full throttle and its got good battery's for sure right now. light just flashes and it never binds

Let us know how the new transmitter works out, OP. I'm thinking about buying the same transmitter, but perhaps I'll wait to see how things work out with yours ;)

For the same price, I would suggest a hacked GT3B or GT3C.

Great support here, 8 channels, cheap (~$9 ea) RX's, multiple model memory & 2.4ghz.

What's not to like??

See the GT3B support thread, or go to www.OverkillRC.com .
