Simple connection opinions?

Hi everyone..
I just recently did an electronics smash/decase on my XR. I am having a little problem with a loose wire right where the BEC and servo go into the receiver. It wants to lose signal with the steering on occasion but as soon as I apply a little pressure to where the wire goes into the receiver it kicks back on.

Very simple fix but I was just wondering what a good way to keep it tight into the receiver would be? The receiver is a Spektrum SR3100. I tore it down once and it still did the same thing when I put it back together. This time I want to do it right. I was thinking about some contact cleaner also.

Thanks for any opinions8)

Likely you need to cut the existing connector off and solder a new one on, or if you have the ends and crimpers those work real nice.

Usually over time the small connectors get loose in the plastic ends, then issues like this arise.

Hi Hildy.;-)

First off, I prefer & recommend an external BEC to be direct to the servo.
Is your RX connection just a "pin" to the RX or does it have a plastic body on it?? I have found that just having a pin to the RX WILL give intermittents over time.
My LHS has multiple kinds of connectors & connector bodies, this is how I keep decent connections from a device (usually a servo) to the RX.

There is just a pin on it. I was able to mess with the wires some more and replaced the BEC plug with a new one and it is working now. Thanks for the help guys
