Default Is my motor a turd?

I know castle motors are good but I have a 5700kv that I originally bought for my slash. I have never ran the motor and plan on running it in my wheely king build. I have seen the crawlers using the low kv set ups and the foff using higher kv motors like 7700 and so but I never see my motor being used and just wondering if it'll be mild or wild in my truck. I'm looking for a max of 30mph or so, I'm wanting to make it quick but still able to take it easy on the trails, appreciate the help.

R/C Calculations

That'll give you mph requirements. Unsensored motors don't do well for crawling, but trail and foffing they do well. Although imo those motors are too fast, sc motors in 3000-4000kv are probably the fastest you'd want.

You will have a hard time of it trying to go slow with a 5700 sensorless motor. 30MPH+ wont be a problem for the WK with that motor.

If I were to put in a 2spd in it would that tame the motor in 1st or would it strip the gears out.

Depending on the 2spd trans... Possibly. But in slowing it down, the purpose would be to crawl at slow speeds and sensorless motors have no crawlability.

Ok but in first I just want a walking pace about for trail driving, I'm still on the fences if I want to use it in this build or not I just figured since I have it and never used it I might as well try o run it, but I'm looking for the best of both worlds going fast and trailability. Appreciate the help guys.
