as-2 servo winch
 

I have a as2 servo winch, with a 2 position 3rd channel. is there any way I could use it with out buying any thing for it?

A switch between the winch and steering servo on ch1 of your rx would give you the choice between steering servo or winch. But its nice to have steering while winching imo.

maybe between the throttle and the winch. how would I do the switch? is there one I can buy? maybe use the 3rd channel to switch between throttle and the winch?

You'll need throttle during winching... Ideally you want steering too. The switch gives you a choice. In either scenario its a give and take. Best way is drop some coin for a better radio or a heyok 2pos controller.

I would go qith the heyok winch controller for 2 pos third channel radios...that will solve your dilemma without buying a new radio...

Thought about that... but that thing is more $$$ than a 3racing winch.

True...but if your 3rd channel is only 2 pos...the 3racing winch will still not work with it..unless u hook a servo up to the 3rd channel, and use the servo to operate the winch controller...and I've done that with my dx3s, and it was always hit or miss on how well it worked..never consistent...
