Default 3s on a sidewinder?

Hi all. I have a quick question. Can I safely run some small 3s 1000mah 35c batteries on my scaler? It has an original sidewinder with a 6v bec wired in. 55t axial throw away motor. And a 7955 tg hitec. Also any idea of " crawling " runtimes? Geared 87/20..1.9 ttc claws. Thanks in advance guys

Yes, they'll handle 3s just fine. Run times depend on how heavy your trigger finger is.

I'm more of a slow technical style crawler. No southern buggy style driving here...

15-20 minutes maybe. Why so small of a battery?

They were practically free.....lol. I was gonna try the rig on 3s to see how it handles before I dropped the coin on some larger mah batts. I have a butt ton of 2s. I just figured it would have more grunt with the 3s

I run Sidewinder SCT's on 3S in my XR10 and it's good. I do use an external BEC though. The internal BEC isn't too powerful on 2S and on 3S it's really only good enough to power the RX. You should be fine for a while, but keep an eye on things and if you start to get brown outs then may be time for a BEC. I also have 2 V1 Sidewinders sitting on my bench (from Castle garage sale) and I'm trying to decide what to put them in.
