Default roc412 3100 or pro4 3300

which shall i buy?going in my 10+ pound wraith with a mmp.its not much of a basher i have a 4x4 slash for that.mostly crawlin but some trail runin&this is my g ride also.i have the rc4wd 2 speed tranny as well.iv heard the roc motors can be a little jerky at start or low speed but with a little setup it can be smoothed out.but my radio doesnt have expo settings so should i go with the more proven pro4?i want to have enough wheel speed for mud bogs &pulls &hop ups!.any advice?

With the 2 speed tranny you could evengo with a redline 13.5 and save yourself so $$$. Would have a faster top end and close to the same amount tourque as the pro4 with no 2 speed. IMO the 2 speed isn't needed with the pro4.

Go with the 412, it was designed specifically for a rig just like what you're building. Neither of my 412 setups are jerky at all, they are just as smooth as brushed, long runtimes and really great powerband and torque.

I do suggest one of our ESCs to be able to really fine tune the system the way I have, but I'm sure the MMP could be tuned as well.

Either motor should be fine.
I used to run the MMP with my pro 4 in my wraith but with ambient temps in the 90's during the summer the MMP fan was on all the time I have since put an RX8 in my wraith and it has no problems with temperature. I also have a 2300 kv 412 in my SCX10 with RS ESC I tuned down the current limiter and it took the jump/surge out of the initial start-up on 3S. I also have the 6.5t SC4X w/ mmp on 3S in my EXO and I am amazed how smooth the power delivery is compared to the brutal torque of the 4pole motors.
