Default what is this ?

i got an emaxx in a deal and it came with this. it only has one spot for a plug and it had the steering servo connected and it is connected to the motor. there are no other spots for any other hook ups like the recieverand the servo for the two speed. any help would be much appreciated. and this is my first emaxx so im in a new ballpark here. how many channel reciever do i need to run this thing.

Looks like just a case. No internals
So no its pretty mush trash unless you have what came out of it.

i have the whole thing i just took a shot of the case cause i was going to water proof it but it has me puzzled

Ah, thats just a plain brushed esc, novak connects most of its esc's to the rx with a female/female lead, so someone has just plugged the servo into the esc output, you will need to source or make a lead and hook up a rx
