| easy to answer motor question
I bought the Novak eiger/rockstar package. You have to solder the wires on the motor which I am ok with. The dumb question I have is that the Eiger ESC has blue and yellow wires (which are defined as + and -) but the motor has red and black sides that aren't defined. The 1:1 mechanic in me says that red is + but I am not sure. What say the smart people here?

In my opinion with brushed motors it doesnt really matter what color is what as long as when you give it forward throttle it goes forward. Usually I try to make it so the red is + like it normally is Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2 |

I agree with benoj. The only thing polarity will affect with a brushed motor is the direction it turns. That is why i've switched to bullet connectors for the motors, because it's easy to rev polarity if you want. Now keep in mind if you have timing set in your brushed motor you don't want to run the motor backwards (turning same direction as the timing) to make the truck move forward or it'll cook it. If it's a new motor, it likely will have zero timing and thus be a non-issue. |

they are wright but if you want to know the yellow is + and the blue is - and the motor the red is + and black is - now if the motor runs backwards flip the swich in your radio from norn to rev or vis versa

there should be a plus sign on the positve side of the motor. when you hold it, shaft down, look on top.
