RC4WD Bulldog winch question

I was wondering if it was possible to power the RC4WD winch through the reciever and no battery hooked up directly to the winch? sorry im just kinda confused.

If your current winch controller gives you any trouble or if you are looking for more performance, I make a range of winch controllers.
