Futaba 4PK lipo or life???

Hey, just a quick question, I have a 4PK and it's got to stock NIMH batteries in it. I was wondering is there a good cheap Lipo or Life battery out there that I can buy & put in it? Maybe something off Hobby King or another site? I prefer not to have to charge it anymore than I have to. Thanks

PS: is it true a life is safer than a Lipo?

I prefer to run regular AA batteries in mine. It's nice to be able to buy batteries at any gas station or use rechargeable if I want.

I have a Hyperion Life pack in mine, I keep the stock pack charged for back up.

x2 but I keep the stock pack charged and a 4xAA pack handy too. yea. beat that.

Will the stock Futaba charger charge it? Or do u need to remove it from the Tx and charge like a regular lipo/life on a charger?

Yes you can charge the Hyperion LiFe TX packs from the stock Futaba wall charger. You can also charge the it at 4C (8.4amps) so if you need to charge it in a hurry you can. It's the only battery I carry.

I'm just looking in the system menu for the 4PK and for battery type it only lists:

NIMH 5CELL ....
DRY 4CELL ....

Where is the setting for a life battery? Don't you have to change it? Do I just leave it on NIMH???
