Default Best motor for a Mud truck?

Im in the process of building a scx10 mud truck. I got tired of getting all my scalers caked in mud lol. Can i use a castle 4600kv 4pole? Or even a traxxas brushless motor? I know brushless stuff isnt waterproof right?

I have used the Tamiya 540 J-Motor for mud running.

Tamiya RC 540-J Motor

It is cheap and so you aren't out a whole lot of money when it dies.

Mud and dirty water tends to kill motors.

X2, i would run cheap throw away motors, silver cans,rc4wd and titans. water and mud are still gonna kill bearings in a vxl motor. 3s would be plenty to clear the mud caked tread with a cheap motor

I would run the cheapest motors you can find. Then when it dies you can go get another for $15.

I got a wraith in a trade. It came with a brand new 22t kyosho magnet mayhem. Wth is this thing? It looks like a 550 can? I think I'm going to keep it in the wraith though it looks way too nice to mess up. I was thinking about throwing this thing in the mud truck but maybe not
