Default Ae2 - lvc

Mornin,

I have my stock AE2 and when I first got it the LVC worked as it should for lipo and would "buck" and cut in and out when the battery was ready to puke. It seems as of late the cutoff doesnt exist anymore. I bought the Castlelink and the LVC is set at auto which is factory. But it doesnt work any more. Any ideas?? Thanx for any replies

I have 2 AE-2's and LVC doesn't work for crap in auto. Set it to manual for whatever battery and voltage you want. I run 2s with them both and set it manually for 6.4v.

Even in Auto-LiPo, you can still adjust at what volts per cell you want to cut off at. What VPC are you set to? And are you measuring the battery's cells once you take it out? Are you below what's in your ESC?

I have the Sidewinder Micro in both my crawler and trail truck set to 3.5 vpc, in Auto, and eventually it'll get to where I can't crawl up onto stuff anymore, like the battery just dumped. I'll pull the batt and the cells will usually check in at 3.6, 3.5, and 3.6. I'd imagine under load there'd be at least a little sag, I should be hitting the cutoff. But mine's never bucked or stuttered, just slows. I just assumed it was a 'soft' cutoff. Is that what's going on with yours?

When I first got the rig and ran 2S it would cut out letting me know that the lipo had hit the "auto cutoff". Right before winter started it never hit the cutoff anymore and would just completely drain the battery. Now that Im done rebuilding the rig I started playin around with it again and it still completely drains the battery. Im gonna try taking it off the auto lvc and set it for 6.4V and see what happens. The fact that it used to cutout and let me know the battery was at LVC and doesnt anymore is what I still dont understand
