Default general Electronics Help

Vehicle: HPI Apache C1 Flux – Stock electronics.

Vehicle stopped working. Fresh batteries - no lights on ESC, no power to receiver or servo…nothing. I tested each component separately and verified all working ok. So I decided to put a receiver battery in the “bat” port on the receiver and everything came to life and was working properly. WTF…what would cause this to happen? Why am I not getting any power from the main batteries/ESC to the receiver? The only thing I could think of was that maybe the BEC circuit in the receiver is bad?

Any insight would be appreciated, Thanks!

Probably the BEC circuit in the ESC at fault.

Does the fan come one when you turn the switch on with a battery connected? From memory the fan should do a quick test when you turn the vehicle on.

+1.....

I say the ESC BEC circuit died (for whatever reason).

You can run an external BEC (most will suggest a Castle Creations 10A BEC) to bypass a problem issue.
