Default question on chargers

is there a difference if the balance port is internal or external? to think of it.. if a cell goes bad and your charging. would it shut down? if that possible.. still have a lot to learn about this.. thanks

I've had a couple of issues when the charger detected an issue with a cell or lost connection in the balance port and it instantly stops charging and brings up an error screen and tells me the issue.

My Venom ProChargers do the same thing when you have the balance port connected (whether you're doing a balance charge or not).

If the pack has an internal balance board, not sure how the charger would know to shut down if you had a bad cell, unless you told it one qty of cells and it saw a different voltage that was unexpected.

With mine you have to tell it 2 or 3s etc in order for it to even start charging.
