|  Tekin FXR solder posts?
Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone has removed the solder posts on the FXR and soldered straight to the pads or board with any success? I'm looking to smash two of them together for a moa project and wanted to save space by removing the posts then heat shrinking them.

The "posts" are also heatsinks for the ESC, if you're stressing the ESC, I would NOT recommend removing the posts. I have always left them on, partly since a lot of "board level" connections are a lead free solder and much harder to solder to. |

I have took the posts off a few of them... One sits in a bag waiting to go back to tekin.. got the second smash job right, but still sending off 2 spares to CtBM for a proper smash job.. I feel cutting the posts short an making a notch in them just like factory, but shorter, is the best option.. atleast for the not so pro solderer that I am.. lol I could of saved the 55$ to replace one I ruined by spending 50$ an having it done right the first time.. |

It is possible, the posts are soldered on with a high temp solder.
