Default Pro4 Troubles

So I just got my pro4 and wanted to pair it up with my rx8 but when I first installed it, it glicked out and caused a short I am sure all my wires are ok and the are all the same length. After the short I rewired everything with new wire but this time the esc reads that I am trying to use a wrong motor type for what it is set up for but I clearly programmed it using hotwire to brushless. Now the esc doesn't want to run the motor and the motor is making a ticking sound close to the end bell. Was wondering if anyone has an idea of what could be wrong or any general mistakes when wiring or programming brushless motors?

Thanks for your time any help is appreciated

I'd call Tekin and get them to troubleshoot with you over the phone. But, my guess would be that you burned out the sensor board on the motor.

Get us a good picture of your wiring. Also, make sure that your sensor wire is installed correctly on both ends, and that all three of your motor wires are going to the correct terminal (a to a, b to b, and c to c).

It's hard to diagnose anything without some details.
