Savox 1256TG help.

I just installed the Savox 1256 in my Axial Ridgecrest is it supposed to make that much noise when it's just sitting still?

Also do I need to install a BEC or is it fine without it?

Thanks Guys

They're just that loud. It's the signature savox whine. Also, rule of thumb, if it's above 200oz of torque than you need a bec.

Re: Savox 1256TG help.

I'd recomend a BEC or at least a glitch buster. I have savox in all my go fast rigs and they suck enough power to brown out the recievers in almost every one of them if I don't run a glitch buster. If you don't have an extra port in your reciever you can put the glitch buster on one leg of a splitter and it'll be fine. BEC will be better since trying to wrestle the tires around on the rocks uses more power than steering around a race track.

p.s. BEC? We're not eliminating anything when we run these, we're just bypassing the BEC that's already in our speed controls. Maybe we can call them BECEC, battery elimination circuit elimintaion circuits.

p.p.s. Does it make me old to remember when electronic speed controls first started the BEC thing and what a big deal it was? Kinda like when all the new 1:1 cars had big EFI badges on them when fuel injection first started coming around.
