|  Novak rooster crawler esc problems
So I bought a rooster crawler esc a year ago and it was working just great. Recently when I was running it I noticed a weird smell and the heat sink was way too warm for comfort. So I decided to take a look to try to see if I could fix the problem. I noticed some corrosion on the terminals of the battery wires and the capacitor. I've tried to run it but now instead of just heating up it doesn't even send power to the motor and it starts smoking. I'm running it with a tekin t35 motor and a venom 7.2 volt Nihm battery. The main "brain" seems to be fine. Please help!

i have 15 castle escs, never a problem.. really liking my new lt4. got a fxr in a trade.. seems like a good esc. really small

As stated already, if you smoked it then its gone. Novak has a good exchange and service program. They'll give you some trade-in credit for your Rooster as-is. If you liked it well enough, you could also send it in and have it repaired. Just making sure you're aware of your options.

I keep an empty Rooster casing on my workbench just to remind me never to buy one again.
