ESC questions

I found this esc on ebay and it was cheap and was wondering if it could handle a 3s or 2s lipo with a lipo alarm with it. Thanks.

from the specs, which i assume you read. 2s yes , 3s you could fry it.
the specs also say it has a low voltage cut off

Re: ESC questions

Looks like the LVC is set to 5 volts, waaaaaaayyyyyy too low for a 2S LiPO (which should be 6.4+ volts for 2S). Does not say it can be adjusted.
Also does not say if it's "instant reverse".

For $12, you can try it, but you may be disappointed for use in a crawler.

Oh, and add a few $$ to replace the Tamiya connectors shown in the picture.

Re: ESC questions

Could I use a low voltage alarm and run 2s and is the tamiya connecter really that bad

Yeah, I would like to know about the tamiya connectors also. I use the Dean's just because it is what my charger came with and I wanted my sons and my trucks to be the same. But is there really a good difference between any of the connectors? Amp ratings? Loss of voltage? Etc.?

Would traxxas connectors or xt60 plugs be better or any good at all

All of the above, the Tamiyas WILL become an issue down the road and start getting hot leading to loss of connection & reduced performance.

Traxxas or XT60 are better, most here use Deans, I use Anderson PowerPoles/Sermos.
