Default solar servo?

I just ordered a solar servo 722 or 772 says that at 7.4v its like 417oz. Prob not that much but i figure for 17 bucks its worth a shot. Has anyone used one of these and can you get metal servo horns for them. I got it off hobby partz .com and all they have is the plasric ones.

It's the d772. Don't run itat 7.4v!!!! I burnt up 2 that way, they like 6v way more. Yes you can get metal servo horns for them, I think they're 23t but don't hold me to that.

What are you running it on? I run one on my MRC and it does OK. Not great. OK.

23T Spline, but get a clamping one. I have heard it is slightly off somehow. And they are loud.

i run 3 of them on my 6x6 (all axles steer) and they have been working fine. I don't think they have the torque they are spec'd at but they work fine for me. have mine set for 6v (didn't want to take the chance of burning them up).

I will voucher for the volume. these are loud! and running 3 of them makes it even worse.

for the price I've been happy with them.

Okay, just being honest here... I was expecting a solar powered servo, lol. I'm disappointed. Where is my 600+ oz in waterproof self sustained solar powered servo?

Yes, I'm going to continue running them until I can afford a hitec 7980.

I have a 772 in my Wraith and so far it seems ok. I tried the 23t Axial horns from the kit and they stripped out right away. I think the mount is 23t, but I haven't been able to get any of the 23t horns to fit properly.

From what I've read, yes, the Solar servos are 23 spline... Servo spline count.....what to use where...

Post 1 has it listed as well as recommendations on servo arms/horns.

I have 3 of these and love them for the price. some have very tight gear-trains and neasd a decent break in period then the torque goes up ALOT also.. I run mine from the cc bec @7.0 volts and get around 280-300 oz.'s of torque... NOT too shabby for a 20 dollar servo.

I personally like a very slow servo for my scaler.crawlers just like the motor in the rig. its more scale. who wants a blistering fast servo in a scaler? not I.

bottom line you get what you payfor YES, and here you get alot for the money.. FOR THE MONEY.... I like that they are water tight and aluminum cased.
