Question MMP combo question

Hey guys, most have seen my thread about putting a MMP with a 6900kv brushless system in my Wraith. Some say that is totally stupid and it is overkill, but I think it's just right!

Anyway, I have been reading Castle's instructions over and over to see if it says anything about setting up the ESC with the sensorless motor. Is it just as simple as buying the Castle Link and switching it over to Smart Sense/ Sensored mode? I'm getting confused with that part; how does it know the motor's timing??

Thanks!

If the sensor wire is plugged in the ESC will see it if not the ESC will run its nonsensored data
If you try to go really slow my mmp/6900 experience is twitchy on starts unsensed smooth as butter plugged in.

6900kv is a bit fast. If it's the Castle motor then it's not going to be sensored and not too smooth off the start. If you have a sensored motor I like Smart Sense because it pulls off line smooth then gets up and goes. Then if something happens and I lose sensor cable while out on trail I can still drive it.

There's no where to plug a sensor harness into the motor. That's where I get confused. The system I has is plenty smooth on start-up and the throttle band but when I hit a crawl towards and up a steep incline, the motor gives up and then I have to put throttle down to make it get up.

I'll try that.

6900Kv is just perfect! I still have no idea where you would put the sensor harness in the Castle motor. Like I said, that's where I get confused.

The castle motors are not sensored, therefore, there is no plug.
