new tekin fxr issue
 
Alright ladies and gents I just picked up a fxr and got it wired up but when I go to program forward and reverse it wont register reverse but it will register forward any ideas?? I just got back into the hobby so itbcould be sonething simple I over looked.

You should try to give more info on your setup. What radio gear, battery, motor, BEC or no?, etc. It will help folks diagnose your problem easier. The more info the better.

Could it possibly be the trim setting on the radio? It has enough travel to calibrate one direction but not the other... just a thought. I'm sure others can give more insight.

Well right now I am using an old futaba 3pm fm radio. I tried it with my bec on first then I tried it with it not hooked up. I am running an integy 55t as far as batterys I am running 4200 venom for now.

Reverse your throttle switch. That sounds exactly like what I went through at first.

Reversing your throttle won't allow it to calibrate at all since it reads neutral, forward and then reverse. If it's reading neutral and forward but no reverse check to see that the FXR is set to FWD/REV and not FWD only.

+1.

Also, make sure:
Throttle EPA's (on the TX) are set to 100%
Throttle trim (on the TX) is set to "0"

Then calibrate.

Futaba radios usually need the throttle channel set to "reverse", it's usually a slide switch on the TX.
