| Lipo chargers from hobbyking?
So I'm finally gonna make the change to lipo and I see a lot of cheaper chargers on hobbykings site are they worth it or just a waste of my money? Or can you guys give me some ideas on a good lipo charger that doesn't cost a small mint? By the way I'm look to be running 5,000mah 3s & 2s with high cell counts,if that helps for the info, thanks |

Turnigy Accucel6 is a good buy. You will also need a power cord but they're pretty cheap. That charger is well made and does everything you need a charger to do. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 |

| Re: Lipo chargers from hobbyking? Thunder AC6 Smart LiPo Balance Charger/Discharger w/ AC Adapter for 1-6 Lipo/ 1-15 Nimh + USB to PC Software ^^Most simple and great price for this charger, tons and tons of great reviews from alot of people.. Ive had mine for a couple months and have had no problems with it, Ive found that its easier to work than my more expensive charger (DURATRAX - ONYX 235 AC/DC LIPO CHARGER [DTXP4235] - $89.98 : BlueGrooveHobbies.com!) and does the exact same job for half the money.. |

Nice, I actually found that charger a Lil bit ago, I think that's gonna be the one, comes with what I need and I don't have to buy a power supply like the turnigy one

I have an imax b606. It's the nicest charger I've owned. The MRC superbrain and the Duratrax chargers I've had are plastic, cheap and have given me problems over time. After almost 2 years with these I can say they are great products. The newer one is called the imax b6 ~$45 shipped from US too: IMAX B6-AC Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells (GENUINE) (US Warehouse) This version is AC so it can be plugged into the wall. The cheaper ones don't have an AC adapter and you have to mod a laptop charger to make it work. This has a metal housing, is a quality unit and the programming is very straight forward. It remembers the cell count you charge to help prevent mistakes. PLEASE READ: buy a lipo charge bag. You should also buy a fire safe (Wal-Mart) or an ammo container (military surplus) to store the batteries in. They can cause fire damage. Most often, setting the charger for the wrong number of cells is what causes fires. If you have a strong impact to the battery, it can rupture a cell too. |

Another vote for a B6AC, bought mine through hobby king along with two 5000 mah batteries. Still learning the charger but it seems to work real well. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 |

If the max charge rate is lower than "1C" of your pack, it will take more than 1 hour to do a full charge. Since you're going to use a 5000mah pack, you want a max charger output of 5+Amps. If your charger has a max of 2.5Amps, your 5000mah pack would take ~2 hours to do a full charge. | |

i got the Thunder T6 multi charger and so far i do like it. i like that i can charge up to 4 battries at the same time. but you do have to get a power supply and power cord for it. but so far its working fine.

| Re: Lipo chargers from hobbyking? I purchased the SKYRC B6 Ultimate 400W Digital Multifunctional Charger, + the Multi Balance Board Adaptorl SkyRC + the SkyRC Temperature Sensor Probe. These: ************************************************** ******** https://www.electricwingman.com/skyr...mate-400w.aspx ************************************************** ******** https://www.electricwingman.com/skyr...d-adaptor.aspx ************************************************** ******** https://www.electricwingman.com/sky-...sor-probe.aspx ************************************************** ******** They work perfectly. From HobbyKing I purchased the LiPo A-Spec, they work perfectly too. This: ************************************************** ******** Turnigy nano-tech A-SPEC 6200mah 2S 65~130C Hardcase Lipo Pack ************************************************** ******** When you choose a battery charger be sure to check the maximum power (in watts) and not just the Amps You have to divide the maximum power of the charger by the battery voltage you need to charge (3,7 - 7,4 - 11,1 etc). So you'll know how many amps the battery charger can deliver charging that specific LiPo, NiCd or NiMh. Many chargers (very cheap) provide only few amperes (4-6). |

Thunder AC6 is a fantastic buy. I have one and have had it for 3 years. Not one problem. Just recently got the thunder t6 multi charger and it works great!!! My buddy has gone through 2 of the Hobbyking Imax knockoff chargers in 2 years. So I would avoid those. |
