Motor direction tranny reversal

Okay so I have a brushed motor and am using a scx10 tranny on my custom chassis but I flipped it the spur and pinion face the rear of my car and thus the tranny is backwards... Will this work if I just reverse the throttle on my transmitter or will I lose power and performance?

You should switch place on the wires between motor and ESC instead! That way the ESC is still running in "forward" mode when the crawler is going forward.
Another option would be to set (reprogram) the ESC to "reverse" mode.
Reversing the transmitter is something you do not want, because the ESC acts very different in its "forward" vs "reverse" directions.

Thank you so much reversing the wires is just making the red go to black?

You should switch it on the speedo....keeps stuff wired up correctly.

However, you need to make sure the motor you have it capable of being run in reverse direction safely....if it has any timing built in, it won't work very well and will likely fail quickly. If the timing is adjustable make sure its set to zero.
