| Tekin FXR or HH BRXL?
I need a new ESC for my SCX10, i cant decide between the FXR and the BRXL. I run a 35t motor and ill probably be running on 3s and some 2s I have both the Castle link and Tekin hotwire.. I need it to be waterproof, so which waterproof is better? Factory BRXL waterproofing or using liquid tape on the FXR? What are your guys thoughts and opinions on them? |

Have had both a fxr waterproofed and a waterproof brxl. The fxr is good... the brxl is BETTER! And the waterproofing on brxl is top notch permanent. So no worries of it rubbing off like liquid tape. Just do it right the first time and get the brxl!

BRXL for the win!!! FXr is a good esc but the BRXl is just that much better and it comes waterproof so that alone shoul dbe enough of a reason to get the BRXL!!!

BRXL Waterproof version hands down dude, a better ESC all around, Made for crawlers and it has the Holmes Hold. I have 1 in each rig 2 each in my XRs 8 all together and haven't had not 1 issue. It works 100 percent with the field programmers and the Castle Link with no problems. Ive had lots of FXRs as well and trust me, go with the Holmes. BRXL. I've had a few and they work great. My first one is still running strong after two years and is still wp:thumbup:

Unless you need the small size, the brxl is probably your best bet for a waterproof esc. Although there is a waterproof sidewinder that would allow you to move up to brushless ( non sensored) if you ever decide to. The FXR is a great esc in a nice small package. But it is not waterproof out of the box, and Tekin would probably not give you any warranty coverage if you cover the thing in liquid tape ( and I think the warranty is only 90 days, might be a little more, but I know its not one year).
