Default Inexpensive Charger for more than one battery

I've been looking for a charger and was recommend to get a hitec that will charge up to 4 batteries, but unfortunatley that's just out of my price range.

Is there a decent charger that would charge 2 packs at a time instead of 4? I'm just thiking cost wise it might be cheaper if it exists.

Seems like those duratrax onyx charger are popluar, but only do one pack at a time. Or is that what most people just do?

Thanks in advance.

The duratrax onyx245 does 2 packs at once. I've had mine for almost 2 years now and love it..it comes with leads for deans, traxxas, and tamiya style plugs...and also has 2 sets of balance boards to cover different balance plugs batteries have..the max charge rate is only 5a, but in my case it's not a huge deal..my packs range from 2200mah 3s up to 6600mah 2s....it's a good charger imo..

My buddy showed me some adaptors to be able to charge 2 @ a time. Adaptor is made by traxxas for around $30 plus charger.

You can get parallel charge boards from Hobby King or ebay. they look like this, and you can charge up to 6 at a time as long as they are discharged the same and are the same mah.
Hobbyking Parallel charging Board for 6 packs 2~6S (XT-60) (USA Warehouse)
They also have a few different chargers that can do more than one at time if your batteries are mixed.

Eric (Dlux) has one like this, I've used it and it works really good. 4 batts at once and they are independent. I am getting one as soon as I can afford it. I think his is from hobby parts?

Thanks!

Jeez, chargers have came a long way. The last one I had, only had one button on it.....charge. The one before that had a dial on it that went to 15 minutes. I feel like I am going to need a class on how to use any of these new chargers!
