So basically that lead will allow me to hook my steering and my shift servo together and still be able to regulate there voltage to both servos?

After thinking no that won't work cuz the shift servos on a diff channel unless I hook my lights up to the bec with a y harness if that's possible

An external BEC does not have to power the RX, you can use it to just power your steering servo while allowing your ESC's internal BEC to power the RX. There are many threads here on how to do this, search the electronics section.
