Default wiring question

I have a 4 channel receiver and i want to have add lights to my rig. Currently i have esc channel 1, steering channel 2, winch channel 3 and bec channel 4. My question is if i get a y harness and put it in the channel 4 slot and hook up my bec and light kit to it will everything still work properly( lights work and bec doing its thing)?

Thanks in advance,
Kenneth

Yes, everything will still work as it does now. The lights won't have an on-off control, though, they'll come on whenever the BEC comes on (presumably as soon as you plug a battery in.)

Another option is to get one of the light controllers from HeyOK. You plug the light controller into the ESC channel and the ESC into the light controller. You don't lose a channel and you get working brake lights.

HeyOK's RC Electronics items (all in one place)
