Default Brushed on 4s?

Just curious, anyone know of a brushed motor that can handle 4s?

I wanna run a 27turn or similar.. Even 35t if need be.

Most brushed motors can handle 4s no problem, you will just have to rebuild it more often and know that sometimes its better to let off and reset the truck.

Which motor kinda depends on the rest of the truck and such.....

I ran a set of brood 40t in my xr10 on 4s and 6s for a little more than a year. I had to regularly cut the comms and install new brushes, which is a bit of a hassle after a while. Eventually one of the motors stalled out. I then continued to run the other in my scx10 for another year on 2s and 3s and again did regular maintenance. That arm was at the end of its life by then, it had seen its last comm cut and blew apart while I was trying to cut it.

So to answer your question, yes most motors can be run on 4s but it will significantly shorten the life of the motor. Especially on a 27t or 35t. But like eddie said it depends on the application.

I am currently running a 55t in my scx10, something with higher winds will yield better results with higher voltages.

I had run a 35t on 4s for a bit in my scx10 and it was great,
It ATE brushes tho. Wasn't sure if it was the voltage being too high
or if the springs were too stiff. The com died on it so I was just curious
If there was a better option..
I guess ill stick to the BL stuff for my 4s needs.
Thanks guys

This would explain why my low turn cheap motors stall out after a couple 8.4v packs. Back to a 30t or more.

Titan 12t + 4s = a great time!! Lol although short lived the wheelspeed and power are almost amusing.

Should work fine. Gear it really low (small pinion/big spur).

I'm running a 6 volt 370 motor on 3s lipos in a MRC based scaler. Basically double the nominal design voltage for that motor. Works great, just don't give it much throttle when bound up. I've smoked one playing around.

Like Eddie said, it's better to let off and pick the truck up than to try to use throttle to get through a bind when using high voltage.
