In need of Wraith motor

My son and I were out today and his motor in his Wraith smoked, super hot and had that nice smell going... Used the search still not sure witch one we sould be looking at. All stock using 2 cell lipo wanting something around stock power, but a little more wouldn't hurt . What would you recomend?

I like to use a 27t motor in mine , gives me good wheel speed and crawls fairly well

Found this one, not sure what the winds of the motor mean ( I know its the wraps of the wire but what it has to do with performance), 13 - 55?

Stock motor is a 20t. Lower # of turns = speed, higher # = more torque.

His stock motor is a 20t so it would be a little fast than a 35t, but the 35t would have a little more torque? He wanted a motor that would have around the same speed but more torque. Should I get a better motor that has the same # of turns?

If you want more torque and better crawling then yes try a 27t or 35t lots of people seem very satisfied with either. When it comes time for me to get a different motor in my ridgecrest I'll probably get a 35t.

I just put a Holmes hobbies 13t crawlmaster in mine and I love it.
Has slightly more speed and gobs of torque.

Ordered up a TorqueMaster Sport 540 27T should be a good fit.

ROWDY RACING, that motor is a 550 size can? If there any issues fitting the motor in?

good choice, speed and torque when you need it, no fitting issues, stock up on some brushes they tend to go a little quicker with the 27t. not to bad but its better to be safe . set the gearing properly, dont wanna burn out the new motor.

Gear it around 5:1 or 5.25:1. Problem with that is it will go slower but motor will last longer. Got to the wraith section and read the sticky on motors and esc's. It also has gearing recommendations.

Read though the sticky lots of info there, will be needing some gears now.
